Commissioned by the Sultanate of Oman, LM Productions had the privilege of producing the opening ceremony for the Oman et la Mer exhibition in France. Created to take its visitors on a journey by telling the story of Oman’s unique and historical connection with the sea, the exhibition promoted the continued relationship between Oman and France. The Trocadero Fountains were the focus of the spectacular opening ceremony with the Eiffel Tower as the monumental backdrop. Water screens, smoke and special effects lighting concealed the Bedan Dhow until its big reveal, all synchronised to a custom-made sound track. The nautical themed evening was a celebration of Omani culture incorporating Arabic recitals, traditional Omani songs and an appearance by the Royal Navy of Oman Orchestra.
