Walsall Council were looking for an interesting new attraction for the 2006 Illuminations and being that the StratoSphere resembles a huge ball of light it was the perfect solution.
A wide range of bright, colourful and striking video abstracts were integrated with sponsors’ logos and the visuals were choreographed to a 3.5 minute musical soundtrack.
Visitors to the illuminations went inside the StratoSphere to view the show. At weekend's the show was viewed from the outside and a laser show ran continuously throughout the evening.
